The Foundation

The Nebraska Rural Radio Foundation was created in memory of Max Brown, the founder and general manager of KRVN from 1951 to 1979. On February 1, 2015, it celebrated 64 years of broadcasting vital information to farmers and ranchers across our great state – including daily grain and livestock markets, weather and farm reports. The idea of the foundation was to honor the legacy of Max Brown and to preserve the history of agriculture for generations to come. Its mission is to provide educational opportunities for rural Nebraskans and to assist in telling the story of the importance of agriculture.
